Island Hopping in Greece

Is there anything more dreamy than a honeymoon in the Greek islands? I don’t think so! When Chris and Hannah came to me, they had a lot of questions because getting between all the islands along with planning the honeymoon (and wedding) seemed like a huge undertaking. I took on the challenge, having only been to Athens so far myself. And it was a blast to plan. I highly recommend this adventure!

The goal was to do Athens, Mykonos, Santorini, and Crete so as you can imagine, the logistics of getting between these islands can be overwhelming. It’s a lot of planning & coordinating ferry times/tickets, different bookings, and of course, fitting in delicious restaurants! I wanted to make sure I was providing a ton of information to give the couple confidence to achieve all of this. This is where the editable document I provide is really, really helpful. I listed all the ferry and hopper flight information, with pricing, times, length of trip and links to the companies.

I wanted to find accommodations that had a classic Greek vibe but were also pretty and well-rated. I think the Olive Mykonos (first, third and fifth pics) is the most gorgeous place. The pool patio is swoon-worthy! The rest were booked through Airbnb and all ended up being a good, easy experience. All of the booking information, addresses, and contact info for the hosts are always available on the document I provide. I also tried to include location specific activities that were close to their accommodations.

There was a lot of swimming, eating traditional Greek foods and exploring Athens. In Athens, they saw the Parthenon, Odeon of Herodes Atticus, Mount Lycabettus from a distance, and the Acropolis area. With each itinerary, I vet and research activities and restaurants online if I haven’t personally been. I spend a lot of time reading reviews to find places that fit your style and dietary restrictions, if any.

There’s a reason that Santorini is one of the most sought after and romantic destinations for honeymooners and couples! The gorgeous sunsets and rolling hills of white houses oozes romance. It’s definitely built for long walks, lounging and experiencing beauty together!
